Measurement of the indentation is via an electronic micrometer giving an instant display of the hardness value – which is simultaneously printed.
If the component tested is part of a batch then the printer will also print comments – whether it is within limits, the hardness scale used, as well as the number of good components in the batch, the number of rejects, the time, the date, the batch number, the batch mean and standard deviation.
- The machine is supplied complete with a serial port enabling the test data to be further processed by a remote computer.
