The BRINtronic system incorporated into automatic machines

As the producers of the world's first fully-automatic Brinell hardness tester, Foundrax have over 20years experience in automatic measurement of Brinell tests.

Environments where these machines are used include steelworks, heat treatment plants, forges and foundries. They are also popular in a wide variety of related industries including the automotive, wellhead equipment/oil tool, defence, aerospace, and railway industries.

Automate your testing completely

The BRINscan MkIII A heavy duty production hardness tester for the most intense users featuring the BRINtronic system to automatically and authentically optically measure the indentation diameter.

The BRINscan MkIII is designed for high-speed in-line applications with a fixed testing table and a moving test head which is lowered to clamp the component and perform the test. The indentation diameter is measured automatically and optically by an integral BRINtronic fully automatic Brinell microscope.

It is theoretically possible to perform up to four tests per minute and still comply with the international standard, even allowing for loading and unloading of the components. It is quite possible to load the component in 1.5 seconds, test for 12 seconds, and unload in 1.5 seconds.

As used to test track links for the British Ministry of Defence for over 20 years .

BRINscan Mk III

The BRIN200D - A production hardness tester incorporating the BRINtronic system to automatically and authentically optically measure the indentation diameter.

The BRIN200D is a production Brinell hardness tester, but uses a lever and weights to apply the test force. It is not designed for the same rate of testing as the BRINscan MkIII and is not designed to test such heavy components. The indentation diameter is measured automatically and optically by an integral BRINtronic fully automatic Brinell microscope.

Whilst it is theoretically possible to achieve the same rate of testing as achieved by the BRINscan MkIII if the automatic timing cycle and automatic lead screw (BRIN200D-TS) options are purchased, this machine is usually used at a rate a little slower than with the BRINscan MkIII.
